  • 2023 Format & Rules

Bayview Cup with 24 points up for grabs.

    • 24 Players per side
    • All Matches play from the White Tees
      • First 9 holes is 2 Person Team Scramble. Both players from each team will hit their tee shot.  The team then decides which shot is best and then both hit shots from there.  Continue until the hole is finished.  Play preferred lies.  A single team score will be entered into the scoring app.
      • It is a shotgun start.  If your first hole is the 5th, then your front 9 is comprised of holes 5-13, your back 9 is 14-4.  The scoring app has this all built in so you do not have to do anything other than enter your score on the actual hole you are on.
      • The first 9-hole match is worth 1 point. If the match is tied, each team earns 1/2 a point.
      • The last 9 holes is Chapman Alternate Shot. Each player hits a tee shot.  The 2nd shot you will hit your partners ball.  Afterwards you pick the best of the two balls and play alternate shot until the ball is holed. A single team score will be entered into the scoring app.
      • The last 9-hole match is also worth 1 point. If the match is tied, each team earns 1/2 a point.
    • 24 points in total, a team will need 12 1/2 points to win the cup. If the score is tied, it will be broken by a 10-man per team Guinness boat race at the Leaside Pub.
    • The tournament website will have automated scoring and standings. Just make sure one golfer in your foursome has a phone.
    • All hazards and penalty areas (whether they are marked or not) will be played as lateral. Take a one stroke penalty and drop a ball around where you think you lost it.
